Why we built it this way
Most fundraising is built around a single action: donate money. It works, but it means only the people with cash to spare can take part, and it asks them again every time.
Meanwhile, value moves through ordinary life constantly. People sell things, trade skills, and clear out what they no longer need. Almost none of it ever reaches the causes they care about.
OpenGiving connects the two, so supporting something doesn't depend on having money left over.
Contributions that stay with you
Your credit history follows you. So does your work history. What you've given to doesn't.
GivingProfiles keep that record. Not to turn generosity into a game, but so trust and recognition can build the way any other reputation does.
